  • The Anycubic SP Kobra S1 / S1 Combo Print Head Front Shell: is the protective front plastic housing and airflow shroud cover for the enclosed CoreXY toolhead assembly of the Kobra S1 series. This lightweight housing clips onto the front of the printhead, enclosing internal wiring, mounting points, and structural components while directing cooling airflow over the heat sink and newly extruded filament layers.
  • Integrated Airflow Direction Shroud: Designed with internal air duct channels that focus the output from the auxiliary part cooling blower fan directly onto the extruded filament tip for rapid cooling during high-speed printing (600 mm/s).
  • Toolless Clip-On & Screw Fixation: Uses magnetic alignment tabs and recessed screw mounting points for quick installation and removal during routine maintenance or nozzle swaps.
  • Lightweight Aerodynamic Profile: Molded from high-strength polymer to minimize added weight on the X-axis linear carriage, preventing ringing and ghosting artifacts during extreme acceleration.
  • Thermal Protection & Wire Management: Shields internal wiring connections, breakout board leads, and hotend components from ambient heat inside the chamber and prevents accidental contact with printed parts.

Maintenance & Care Tips

  • Check Fan Duct Alignment: When reinstalling the front shell, ensure the internal cooling fan ducts align flush against the part-cooling fan outputs so airflow isn't restricted or redirected away from the nozzle tip.
  • Avoid Over-Tightening Screws: The mounting threads are molded directly into high-strength plastic. Tighten screws snugly by hand—do not over-torque to prevent stripping the plastic bosses.
  • Inspect for Filament Stringing: Periodically remove the cover and clear out fine filament wisps or plastic shavings that may accumulate inside the air duct channels over time.
