  • The Anycubic SP ACE Pro Filament Detector: is a specialized sensor board module engineered for the Anycubic Color Engine (ACE Pro) system used across the Kobra 3 Combo, V2 Combo, Max Combo, and S1 Combo lineups.This module actively monitors filament presence, motion, and feeding status within the multi-color feeder paths, enabling automatic spool switching, runout detection, and prevention of multi-color retract jams.
  • Real-Time Filament Runout Sensing: Features high-precision optical/photoelectric sensors that immediately signal the printer firmware when a spool depletes, pausing the print safely.
  • Clog & Tangle Detection: Monitors filament feed motion through the ACE Pro internal channels to detect feeding resistance, tangled spools, or feed slip before motor grinding occurs.
  • Multi-Channel Compatibility: Designed to drop directly into the feeder channels of the ACE Pro multi-material unit for seamless multi-color filament swapping.
  • Direct Plug-and-Play Integration: Pre-fitted with quick-connect JST wiring headers, requiring no soldering or wire stripping during maintenance or replacement.

Maintenance & Care Tips

  • Keep Optical Paths Clean: Dust off any filament debris, plastic shavings, or stringing inside the sensor feed tube during installation using compressed air, as debris can block the optical light bridge.
  • Verify Connector Latch: Ensure the small multi-pin connector snaps fully onto the main hub board to avoid false "Filament Missing" or "Feed Error" pop-ups during multi-material prints.
  • Calibrate ACE Pro After Swap: Run a self-test cycle from the printer screen after replacing to ensure all 4 loading channels load and retract smoothly.
