- The Anycubic Kobra X Series ACE GEN2 Printhead Driver Motherboard is the central PCB control module mounted directly inside the ACE GEN2 printhead housing. Acting as the secondary daughterboard for the main system controller, it processes all localized sensors, motor drivers, and thermal loops at the printhead level to maintain precise communication and synchronized high-speed printing.
- On-Head Processing Hub: Consolidates all printhead electronic signals—stepper motor drive, hotend heating, thermistor readings, fan PWM signals, and leveling sensors—into a single high-speed bus cable to reduce cable clutter.
- Integrated Sensor Management: Directly interface with the strain-gauge auto-leveling sensor, filament movement/clog sensors, and toolhead positioning circuits.
- ACE Communication Bridge: Coordinates signals during multi-color filament swaps between the Anycubic ACE unit, the internal filament cutter, and the extruder drive motor.
- Compact OEM Drop-In: Designed with pre-placed quick-connect terminal sockets that match the internal toolhead wiring harness perfectly, ensuring straightforward replacement and repair.

- Power Off & Discharge: Always switch off and unplug the printer before opening the toolhead housing. Disconnecting live connectors from the daughterboard can short delicate MOSFETs or thermistor channels.
- Handle ESD Safe: Touch a grounded metal frame or wear an anti-static wrist strap before handling the PCB to prevent static discharge from damaging microcontrollers.
- Check Connector Seating: When reconnecting fan wires, thermistors, and heater leads, ensure each mini JST connector snaps fully into its socket without bent pins.
- Re-Run Calibration: After replacing the S010402 driver board, power on the printer and perform an Auto Bed Leveling (ABL) and Vibration Compensation/Input Shaping routine from the touchscreen menu.
