  • The Anycubic SP Kobra S1 / S1 Combo Quick Release Hotend with 0.4mm Nozzle: is an updated modular printhead melt assembly engineered for tool-free, rapid hotend swaps.Designed specifically to handle the elevated thermal and flow demands of enclosed high-speed CoreXY printing (up to 600 mm/s), this assembly unifies the high-power heating block, precision thermistor, bi-metal throat tube, pre-installed 0.4 mm brass nozzle, and thermal silicone sock into a single quick-latch cartridge.
  • Tool-Free Quick Release Latch: Allows full hotend swapping in seconds without needing to unscrew fasteners, disconnect individual delicate sensor wires, or hot-tighten nozzles.
  • Integrated 0.4 mm Standard Flow Nozzle: Comes pre-fitted and factory-sealed with a standard 0.4 mm orifice diameter to eliminate molten filament leakage between the nozzle seat and heat break.
  • Bi-Metallic Heat Break Technology: Combines a titanium alloy thermal break section with a high-conductivity copper block to sharply divide the cold sink from the hot melt zone, preventing heat creep clogs.
  • Rapid High-Wattage Heating: High-output ceramic heater core ramps temperatures up to 300°C rapidly for consistent volumetric extrusion during fast multi-color purges.

Maintenance & Care Tips

  • Always Perform Hotend PID Calibration: Run a Hotend PID Tuning from the Kobra S1's setup menu immediately after installing a new unit to prevent temperature overshoot or thermal runaway alerts.
  • Cold Swap Mechanism: Use the quick-release lever only after the hotend has cooled down below 50°C to avoid accidental burns or warping of the mounting latch interface.
  • Verify Silicone Sock Seating: Ensure the gray silicone insulating sock is seated flush over the heater block so cooling fan airflow does not alter nozzle tip temperatures during high-speed printing.
